Guidelines for Contributors

Bankrupt Magazine welcomes submissions from all residents of Metro Vancouver, Canada. We accept all genres of short fiction and all forms of creative non-fiction.

• Fiction: approximately 1000 to 2500 words in any genre.
• Non-fiction: approximately 1000 to 2500 words of literary non-fiction (with a heavy emphasis on narrative).

If you have a work that exceeds 2500 words, please send us a sample of your piece first.

Send submissions to editors@bankruptmag.com with your genre in the subject field.

Please send submissions in a format compatible with Microsoft Word 2003 (either .doc or .rtf format… no .docx files please), and don’t forget to number your pages.

As Bankrupt is a labour of love and not a financial venture, we are unable to pay for published works at this time.
